Built for one council, before it was sold to any.
Knightly Sites was not designed as a product and then shown to councils. It was built because a council needed it, and it is in use by that council every week.
Where it came from

A council with a rented website nobody could edit, a Recorder typing the same twenty header fields into minutes twelve times a year, and a Form 1728A being reconstructed every June from whatever anyone could remember. Every feature in this platform exists because one of those things was happening.
That is why the software knows what a fraternal year is, why an assembly is a different shape from a council instead of the same shape with a different word, and why the 1728A category tree is the real one. None of it was reverse-engineered from a competitor's feature list.
How it is run
On our own hardware, not rented from a cloud AI vendor. That is the reason the member-data rule can be stated as plainly as it is: the transcription and the drafting both happen on machines we own, so member information has nowhere else to go.
It is a small operation, and we would rather you know that than find it out. There is no support floor and no account manager. What there is, is someone who uses the software in a council and answers email about it.
What it is not
It is not the Knights of Columbus. Knightly Sites is independent: not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by the Order, the Supreme Council, or any state, local council or assembly. The Order is named on this site only to describe who the software is for. Nothing here carries the Order's emblem, and that is deliberate rather than an omission.
It is not a design agency. Every council gets the same carefully made site with its own name, photographs and details in it. If your council wants something bespoke, we are the wrong answer and will say so.
Accountability
The operator's name and postal address belong on this page and are not yet published here. Until they are, this paragraph says so rather than leaving the impression of a company that has not been described.
In the meantime: the platform runs at knightlysites.com, billing runs through Stripe, and you can reach a person at the address on the contact page.
